Wheat n oats sweet paniyaram

This dish started off when i wanted to do appam after tasting it at my friend's place. My son was simply bowled over by that. I did ask her mom for the recipe but i did not have all the ingredients at hand. So i tried this combination. It was awesome! When i started it, i was not sure how it would turn out but am glad that i tried. I would be doing this more often now as it was a hit at home. Makes a good snack or a healthy breakfast. In place of jaggery i used brown sugar. It's basically a "mix and do" kind of paniyaram so doesn't involve the process of soaking and grinding. It is a great time saver and a kid friendly dish. A guilt free breakfast very much comparable to the daily cereal!

Ingredients

1 cup wheat flour
1 cup oats
1/4cup rice flour
1 tablespoon sooji(rava)
2 pods elaichi powdered
2 cups light brown sugar
1 ripe banana(mashed)
1 teaspoon ghee

Method

Mix the banana mash, wheat flour, rice flour, oats, sooji, elaichi, brown sugar with water. The batter should be a little thicker than idli batter. Then slightly heat the ghee and add it to the batter. Now grease the paniyaram pan and fill in the batter .Turn over when required.Cook till done.
