Diwali pot luck

The Diwali potluck in our community is one event we fuss over and over and look forward to.The event planning would start about a month back and the ladies(me especially) would find the smallest reason to assemble and have a tea and snack over it and important discussions would most importantly be the juiciest of the gossips, dresses, jewelery and definitely a rip down of our leasing office. The raves and rants over hubbies would follow suit.No topic that fascinates the Eve community is left untouched. The cell phone would ring and  probably her hubby would ask her"how long...or ...r u  done yet".Suddenly one notices the time and all realize that we have not even started the menu for the party.Hurriedly the whole essence of the meet up is discussed and surprisingly we come up with the menu, list and other to dos in mere 5 minutes.Last but not the least we all would get up grudging about shortage of time and our" ever-caring-missing"hubbies who had to remind us the time.We hurry home with our hearts light and heads full of ideas for the upcoming event!
In retro prospect of the whole pre potluck hungama we did have a great diwali damaka with an array of dishes lined up.Now the Adam group had fun, talk, food and what more......

The click is not all that great but at least managed to get one at the end .The menu for the day was:
